Army ROTC and Georgia Military Scholarships Available – Applications Open Now We’re looking for high school seniors who want to serve our nation as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army or the State of Georgia in the Georgia Army National Guard. Please pass these opportunities to those you think might be interested and qualified. Army ROTC scholarships pay for room and board or tuition and fees + $420/month stipend + $1,200/yr book allowance. Click here for eligibility criteria and benefits. Last year, more than 70 high school seniors were awarded three- and four-year ROTC scholarships to enroll in the Corps of Cadets at UNG.

The scholarship leads to a job as an Army second lieutenant with excellent benefits and starting compensation (Department of Defense Calculator): Single with less than 2 years of service stationed at Ft. Stewart near Savannah, GA: $58,666 Single with 4 years of service as a Soldier in the Guard while in the Corps of Cadets at Ft. Benning, GA: $67,116 Married with less than 2 years of service at Ft. Bragg, NC: $58,172 Married with four years of service at Ft. Campbell, KY: $70,225
b. Second lieutenants become captains at four years’ time of service after commissioning. Army captain compensation (Department of Defense Calculator): Single with 4 years of service, stationed at Ft. Hood, TX: $89,002 Married with 4 years of service at Ft. Lewis, WA: $99,836 Georgia Military Scholarships. Forty-two scholarships are awarded each year, which pay for room, board, tuition, fees, and books. Recipients enlist in the Guard and receive additional pay and benefits from the Guard and ROTC. Click here for eligibility criteria and benefits.
